Bay Centerless has been supplying the most demanding clients in Silicon Valley for over 35 years.

Over the years we have built up expertise in a number of specialties, such as medical mandrels, thin wall tubing, OFE copper studs, and non-standard pins. See under "Specialties" below.

We manufacture precision ground bar, threaded stock, circuit board pins, router pins, locating pins, and standard alloy pins. We also provide machine to print, precision grinding, thread rolling, and screw machining services.

Specialties

  • Medical mandrels used for glass blowing, stents, and catheters.
  • Grinding of thin wall tubing. Specializing in 304 SST and Nickel-Titanium (Nitinol) down to .0005" wall thickness.
  • Precision ground shafts manufactured complete to print. 5/8 diameter max up to 13 feet long.
  • OFE copper studs. 1/4-20, #10-32, #8-32, stocked in lengths 1" to 2.5" in 1/4" increments.
  • Non-standard pins .020 to .625 diameter, minimum length .050", large and small quantities, as little as two pieces.

Precision ground bar stock +/- 0.0001 and + 0.0005 or - 0.0005.
Standard 16 RMS finish in stainless steel alloys: 316, 416, 440, 304, 303.
Standard lengths 3ft, 6ft, 12ft.
Finishes also available: 12, 10, 8 and 4 (or better)

Threaded rod 4-40 to 5/8 - 18.
Coarse, fine, extra fine, and specials.
Also available in metric sizes.
Standard "Vee" form in alloys listed above, and 12L14

Pins (circuit board pins, router pins, locating pins), alloy heat treated from OD 0.032 to 0.250 inch, in 0.0005 increments. Standard lengths of 1/2, 5/8, 3/4 inch. Specials on request. All pins are chamfered and burred to prevent scratching of media.
